Clothes do not make the man…or do they?

I found the following sites where you can practice (practise, BrE) your vocab on clothes.

  1. BBC Learning English site: Here you have 2 listening and 3 reading activities on ‘buying shoes’, ‘jeans’, ‘where to shop in London’ and on ‘the pronunciation of the schwa sound’ (that sound you can hear in ‘Sueque…’, remember?)
  2. English Language Listening Lab Online (ELLLO): you will hear 6 audio segments and you’ll have to choose the right piece of clothing.
  3. And remember, just like M. Twain said: Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society
